How to stop Google password pop up in iPhone?

While I am trying to add or remove a contact from my contact list the pop up message is saying "Enter the Google password for Email I'd in settings".

"Google Password Required"... I've made some changes in my passwords, including some of my Gmail accounts. I'm getting all my emails ok, both to my iMac and my iPhone. All's working OK. But now every day, more than once, I'm getting this message on the top right of my screen (see below), and then, when clicking "Continue" I'm getting the other message, that brings me nowhere. I know I can always call Google, but I don't see a reason to spend hours on the phone, waiting for them to answer... ...Is there a way to stop this nonsense by myself? Thanks!

My concern with any touch screen device is that I frequently launch things accidentally. Usually it's just an anoying redirect but it concerns me when I have opened a suspicious email. Or worse, what if I have a suspicious alert that pops up? This is how my one experience with malware installing itself opccurred on a laptop. On my MS Wndows laptops I hover to reveal addresses and URLs and feel safer. Is this a false sense of security? Is this possible on an iPhone 17 Pro? Go to Settings>Contacts>Accounts and delete your Gmail account and add it back with the correct credentials.
