Not able to send and receive messages through my number on imessage
Ever since I have updated my phone to the new iOS 17.4.1 update I haven’t been able to connect my phone number to imessage or facetime.
Right after update my imessage and facetime switched to using my email instead of my phone number. I went to my provider to ask for help but they couldn’t figure it out and said it was probably an issue with the vpn I was using. When I went into my Apple ID settings and tried to see if my number was still connected to it, my number showed up as saying “Unavailable for imessage and facetime.” It also says I must have the SIM associated with the number but I have tried a lot and nothing seems to work.
