iPhone XR drastically cropping wallpapers, how to prevent this?
Hi all, I'm on iOS 17.4.1, iPhone XR.
I've set up my wallpapers to change every hour, but for some reason they are drastically cropped when they show on the lock screen.
From what I was able to find, the dimensions should be 828 x 1792, so that's what I resized them to.
I hesitate to write this, but it's as if it's choosing to focus in on what it thinks it the focal point of the image. And I didn't want to write that because Apple's Focus mode is something completely different and I don't want to come up in a bunch of searches about it or get answers pertaining to it but nevertheless that is what appears to be happening.
For example, I've chosen many of my favorite comic book covers to be wallpapers. When there is one major character on the cover it might crop in to their head, as if I want to close up on that character's face.
But when there are many characters on the cover it gives up and just shows the whole thing mostly as I intended.
I have turned off Depth Effect but that doesn't help with this at all.
Surely this is a feature that is working as intended, but where do I turn it off?
Thanks for your help.
