Only on my iPad 8. My iPhone calendar works just fine. But on my iPad, when in month view, when I tap or double tap a date it will not open that date. I have rebooted my iPad, turned it off and back on, but nothing has helped. My iOS has been updated to 17.4.1 for awhile.

Thanks for responding. You’ve helped me figure it out. My iPad month view looks as above. No events. Just dots. But, if I decrease the font size enough i calendar, then events appear on the month view as in the screen shot you posted and I can tap on events and open them. So, thank you for getting me there! I tend to keep my fonts set to larger size for my eyesight, and that often changes they way my screens appear, but I forget that.

That is correct. This is working as designed. Tap on an event, not the date, to open the event.
Ah, that’s good insight.
I suspect (not certain) that you may keep your larger font size and tap a dot to get to that specific event.
There are no “event” showing in month mode. And I used to always tap on the date and it would then list all the events for that day. It does that in my iPhone, but will not do it on my iPad anymore for some reason.

Really? Even these events from the Holiday calendar may be tapped and opened.
As I said, yes, that is the expected behavior on both iPhone and iPad. On iPad, if you wish to see a specific day that has no event, simply tap “Day” toward the top and navigate there.
