Apple Watch braided watch band is stretched so it no longer functions properly.

My Apple braided watch bands have limited life span. As the Apple retail store clerks state, “if you put the watch band on your wrist, you have to stretch it over your hand,” and that action leads to its gradual demise.

Watch bands are covered under Apple's One Year Limited Warranty. If the damage is considered "a defect in material or workmanship", they'll replace or refund it free of charge.

A$99 watch band, worn on average 2 days per week, should last more than 2-3 years. I have numerous bands, but they are, no WERE, my favorites for comfort. But their use now disallows watch functions. Apple should simply replace them as the stretch is an unforeseen design flaw. Further, the store personnel explained that I should have been advised to purchase a size “7” instead of the measured size “8.” I followed Apple’s guidance, but that was improper.
