Can’t download a free app because apple is trying to pull money off my account. But I don’t have any subscriptions due and now I’ve cancelled all the subscriptions I did have. Fix this.

Sounds like you have an unpaid balance from something. There's no way to fix this except by adding a payment method to complete the transaction, then requesting a refund if applicable.
Fix this.
Only you can. You need to add a payment method, then you can request a refund if possible.

Troubleshooting:
It’s asking me to edit payment method, but this happens every time I get an iOS update. I won’t be Apple to download new apps because apple is trying to take payments for subscriptions that aren’t due.
