iPhone 11 charging port advice to address lack of connection

(1) This is simply to say "use a toothpick to clean out the lint" was EXCELLENT advice. I used compressed air. Not so good. Then. I used "a toothpick". Wow; I'm still getting lint out !! No joke. (need a bright light to see it, helps)

(2) Next iPhone is going to get an Otterbox protector since I figure that will reduce the lint build-up (just my guess ).

how do i cleqn the charging port on my ipad so it will charge? i have to blow it out or clean. it every day or two iPad charges intermittently even by the seconds unless I am lucky enough to clean it successfully or unless I hold it up or down to get a good connection. No dirt discernible. Any other more effective solutions?
