Two "App Store" apps on iPhone

I have two "App Store" apps on my phone. Both have identical icons, and open exactly the same.

I have a new iPhone 15 pro that is about 6 months old. this started happening after the first iOS update. I have been updating the iOS regularly but the two App Store apps stay on. The current iOS version is 17.4.1

i have attached a picture to show the two apps. Please note that I am NOT talking about Apple Store app. I am talking about two App Store apps.

You do not have two App Store apps, however, you have two shortcuts / icons for the same one App Store app. You can remove any one of those icons by choosing Remove from Home Screen option after Touching and Holding the icon to display the remove / delete app options.
