My iMessage messages were not delivered

iMessages go over the Internet.

"Not delivered" may be a sign that you don't have an Internet connection, and that you need to establish a Wi-Fi or cellular data connection to the Internet before your messages can be delivered.

The green bubble indicates not an iMessage, but an SMS text message.
