$20 was stolen from my account via apple pay, how is that possible?

Since I tried to keep less money on the VISA card, it was not a large amount, there were several attempts from 399 to 299...199... and finally 20! and they succeeded!

The apple company would be responsible for these holes in the transaction system, now reading different forums, people have been complaining for years and nothing is fixed! I'm a little ashamed to be in your place! how do we decide next?

The most common cause of your card being compromised is when using the physical card at a terminal that has a card skimmer installed. Many gas stations are susceptible to this scam. Even though you may see the charges in your wallet that the scammers made, it does not mean the charges were made with Apple Pay.

Apple Pay is simply the platform that transmits the purchases used with your phone securely without transmitting your credit card numbers. It is far more secure than any other form of transaction where your card details can be easily compromised. There is nothing that needs fixed. The process is still the same to dispute charges as it is still your card company that authorizes the purchases and they are still responsible for filing fraud complaints.

Confused by your post. Do you use the card only for amazon and eBay or do you use it everywhere?

  • What is the exact description of the charge?
  • Are you claiming Apple took the money from you or Apple gave the money to someone else?

Using Apple Pay to process a transaction never transmits your card numbers to the retailer. Apple Pay does not approve transactions, it only facilitate the transaction with approval done by your credit card. When filling a fraud claim with your VISA card, they are going to have to prove that you made the purchase and claiming you used the OTP password when the card was added is not sufficient. If the transaction was made with Apple Pay, you will also be able to find out the verification method used for the purchase, whether if was Face ID/Touch ID or passcode. You should be able to get more information about an ApplePay transaction by contacting them directly, but disputing the charge still has to be done by your credit card company.

Amazon and eBay do not accept Apple Pay. When you entered your card number or used it at other merchants, the card details were compromised and a fraudster entered the information into their Apple device. Because your Apple Pay account and the fraudsters account are linked by the common card details, you’re receiving notifications of the charges on your account.

so this is a VISA card that I have only used for orders on amazon.com and ebay, it is not a salary card and I have never used it for other purposes, such as payments or withdrawals from ATMs or anything else, for shopping at gas stations And so on it's the simple card on which I receive my salary, I pay with it everywhere and I haven't had any problems with it!
