How do I secure my iPhone and Apple ID?

I received an email today saying my password had been successfully changed and i did not do it. Also my Reddit account i have and access with my apple unique password and hidden email was hacked yesterday. Or i found out yesterday. Every account has a number next to it, for example my phone says craigs iphone(2) and my reddit account also had a (2) next to it. Please how do i get rid of this hacker?

If you see that your Apple ID password has been compromised please follow these steps to regain access of your account

Gain control of your Apple ID

Change your Apple ID password
If your Apple ID password has been changed by someone else, reset your password.
Go to appleid.apple.com
Check with your email address* provider to make sure you control every email address associated with your Apple ID. If you don’t control an email address, work with your email provider to regain control or use a different email address.

If you can’t reset your Apple ID password or sign in

If you can’t reset your Apple ID password or sign in to appleid.apple.com, go to iforgot.apple.com
