CarPlay keeps disconnecting since getting 15 and 15 pro.

I have a 2022 Sonata and ever since my family and I upgraded to the 15 and 15 pros, the CarPlay is constantly disconnecting to the point I just use Bluetooth now.


It will load up CarPlay and work for a little bit but if I go over a bump or my phone moves at all it disconnects. This doesn’t happen at all on my 12 pro. My car doesn’t have a USB-C port, so I’ve tried multiple different cables from Anker and Belkin. I’ve even tried a usb-a to usb-c adapter with an Apple cable and it didn’t work at all.


When I plug it sometimes it will also open up with Siri activated despite not activating Siri and not showing active on my phone until Siri shows up when CarPlay loads.

I have exactly the same issue. Having done some research, it looks like it's a fault with the new style C-Port on this model of iPhone. I'm going into my local Apple Store today to ask for a replacement. It cost me over £1100 for my phone and it's 6 months old. I honestly expected better! I read that it's something to do with the C connection cable not going all the way into the port because of how it's been produced. Apple are aware of the issue. I only have to turn a corner in my car or for the phone to move slightly and it disconnects. I've tried three different cables, ive tried a reset and I've also tried it in other peoples cars and the same issue happens consistently.
