I have photos from a trip taken in 2000 that have been scanned into a Photos album. I have the beginning and ending date of the trip and would like that to be the date shown since I don't actually know the date of each photo. Right now the date being shown is the date they were scanned. I would like it to be May 23-June 5, 2000. Is that possible?

As Matti Haveri suggested, here is a Script from léonie that should do what you want.
Script: Batch Change the Date and Time to… - Apple Community
You put the pictures in the order you want, set a date for the first one, and it copies that date to all the following selected pictures with a 1 minute increment in between to keep them in order. You just copy the script into the AppleScript editor, "Script Editor.app" and run it. Instructions are in the link above.

Yes, there is time shift in the Photos menu Image > Adjust Date and Time...
I use GraphicConverter outside Photos if I want a range of dates to the selected photos or movies.
Maybe there is a script to do that inside Photos. Anyone?
