I Really Miss My Photostream

For many years I used My Photostream, which in essence put my iPhone photos on all my devices automatically. This was very convenient and user friendly, after taking pics with my iPhone I would arrive home and all the photos would automatically go on my iMac, and MBA, etc.

I wonder if Apple has any intention of bringing it back.

iMac 24″, macOS 14.5

My Photostream was replaced by iCloud Photos, a rather simpler and more elegant method of keeping Photos synchronized. It works both ways-- when you edit one of your pictures on the Mac, the pictures on the phone get the edits, too. And when you throw in an iPad, it all happens together.


No one here can possibly know, but I bet everyone's guess would be that Apple is not going backward.
