MacBook Air wouldn't accept password after I restarted it

I have a Mac Air that was having an issue so I tried to Restart it. It wouldn't accept my password so I can't log in in that machine. I also says that now I account is lock for 2+ hours. I tried to use the Mac Air earlier using Mail and when I typed a letter it would enter 2 letters: I typed r and it showed re

So I tried to Restart and that is when it wouldn't accept my password to allow me to enter my account.

The repeating letters could be a sign of a sticky or malfunctioning key. Try cleaning the keyboard carefully, especially around the keys that are repeating.

Since your account is locked for a period, wait until the lock period expires before attempting to log in again. Make sure you're entering the correct password. Sometimes, keyboard issues (like the repeating letters) can cause incorrect password entries.
