I am not able to log in through Apple TV. I provide my Apple ID then the password. I receive a code on my phone. But the tv goes back to asking for Apple ID again. There is no screen asking for the code.

You would have Netflix on your Netflix account, not on your Apple ID. You would need to be signed in to your Apple device with your Apple ID though.
Of course. But I cannot access Netflix without being able to sign into my Apple ID. And that’s the problem. The Apple TV is taking me through a loop - asks for Apple ID. Then the password. Sends me a code on my phone. Then asks for Apple ID again. Doesn’t allow me to punch in the code on the tv.
I tried looking for the serial number - it is so faint that I can’t read it. The first few numbers look like DY6K …….
