After my iOS 17.5.1 software update this morning, my Apple Pay / Wallet does not want to work.
NFC not working in the phone as I can’t scan my glucose monitor either. Have tried various reboot methods with no success.

Youu’ll need to contact Apple Support and request <remote diagnostics> be performed on your iPhone. Ask the support person to check the NFC module.
Alternatively, you may make a Genus Bar appointment at a nearby Apple Retail Store if that’s more convenient.

Get the diagnostics and their support person can advise you. Do you have Apple Care on your iPhone?
So, an issue with the NFC will be covered. Just get the diagnostics done.
Are you near a physical Apple Retail Store? They can also physically test NFC in addition to the diagnostics that Apple can do with phone support or chat.
Correct. I’ve tried the forced restart and the NFC function will not work.
NFC worked just prior to the update because I scanned my glucose monitor when I woke up. Then I updated the phone.
WIFI, Bluetooth and cellular work fine.

The phone was purchased in Jan 2023 and it presently is under AppleCare monthly coverage.
Same. I’ve hard restarted. I’ve deleted my Apple Pay linked card , restarted, and re-added it and still it refuses to use my Apple Pay to reload my Starbucks card.

Are you using the Starbucks app or website?
i have a similar issue but it only using apple pay via app like starbucks app, ebay app, and shell app. but if i use normal apply pay via a terminal it works fine
