When I use Apple Pay to make payment on my MacBook Air I cannot use the cash portion and payments are only made from the attached credit card. Is there a way to set up the cash as a payment option?

I’m not sure Apple Cash is available on a Mac. The support articles only reference iOS, iPad OS, Watch OS and Vision Pro OS. Mac’s lack NFC for purchases and that may be the limiting factor.

When you say <cash portion of Apple Pay>> are you referring to Apple Cash? Are you trying to make a payment on Apple Card Mastercard account or what exactly. Have you already purchased the MacBook Air?
When I use Apple Pay on my iPhone I have the option of using the cash (Apple Cash) and not the attached credit card. When I make a payment on my MacBook Air I cannot see where I have that option (Apple Cash) and the payment can only be made from the attached credit card. In my Apple Pay Settings I do not see anything related to Apple Cash.
I just replaced my Pro with a new Air. I don't remember this being an issue on the Pro. I was making a Chewy.com purchase and they offer Apple Pay as a payment option. If I use Apple Pay on my phone I get the option of selecting any cash I may have in Wallet or to use the attached credit card. If I make the same payment using my Air I do not have the option of using the cash and the attached credit card is automatically used.

US, although some may say Maine is not part of the US.
Yes, but in Settings on my Air I do not see where I can turn on Apple Cash as an option.
