How do I see what messages are stored on my iCloud account?

It sounds as if you're using iCloud Syncing for messages. You can't see which specific messages are stored on iCloud, only how much space they take up. They are SMS and iMessages. You can't delete the messages through iCloud. If you turn off iCloud Storage entirely, the messages should still be on your phone. But why would you want to do that? I think there may be some details you've left out.

You can see what are those message from settings/Apple 🆔/icloud/ show all/ messages / manage storage / messages/ conversations , you can delete/ leave them and they are in iCloud not in your iPhone
