Title pretty much says it all. It literally happened overnight. I'm not sure but it seemed to happen when I did latest upgrade to Ventura. Also, I would appreciate any help regarding getting rid of 200GB of unasked for memory. Also, patience, please. I am a techno-impaired senior.

I actually figured out what went wrong! My Mac "crashed" several months ago, in the process I also messed up my external hard drive. For fear of losing my previous memory I made a separate user to protect those files!! My Mac is up and running with ALL my files restored. I just realized what i did, deleted the user and away went 300 GB of duplicate files!
