I have several folders on my desktop and they all (now) have an error (download?) message icon and when I open any one of them, there is a swirling sign like it’s trying to do something but never does. This all happened after the latest software update (Sonoma 14.5)

if you are using the same Apple ID—
for sync issues sign out of iCloudDrive Desktops/Documents and compare your results
Sign out of iCloud - Apple Support
or sign out Apple ID and back in again compare your results
If you sign out of your Apple ID settings on Mac
