How to make Contour Roller Ball Mouse work with iMac M1 Sonoma?

iMac M1 16 gb OS 14.3.1. In the past I have used a Contour Roller Ball Mouse setup with great success. However when I upgraded to 14.3.1 the Contour RollerBall Red setup was uncontrollable. I really liked the ease of use of the RBR, but it was unusable with the current setup. Tech support recommended a reset my computer to factory defaults and reinstall software! Not a solution. Can't reload all the apps. Has anyone had experience with using RBR with Sonoma? Thanks in advance!

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?

We need to see what all is running, a report from this will not display any personal info...
