iPod model ME178LL/A will not connect to iTunes or App Store
My vintage iPod, model ME178LL/A will not connect to iTunes or App Store. How can access one of these?

You can't. For security reasons 4th generation iPod Touches like yours can no longer connect to the app store. What's more, there are probably no apps left on the store that will work with the iOS available on the older iPods.
