I cannot download Pages app for MacBook Pro even though I have it purchased and am using it on my iPhone because my OS is too outdated.

I would like to download Pages on my MacBook Pro running Mac OS Monterrey 12.6. The latest version requires 13 or higher. Fine. I looked up the way to download it from a prior purchase, which I had done in July of 2020. I still use it on my phone, but when I go to my purchases on my MacBook, the app is not there for me to try and download the older version. What am I missing?

If your only historical installation of Pages was on your iPhone, and never on macOS (two separate App Stores), then you won't be able to get an older version for macOS now.

If you installed Pages since Oct 2013 on a Mac, then it may be possible to obtain version 13.1 for Monterey. You would launch the Mac App Store and sign in with the same Apple ID used previously to install Pages on macOS. Press cmd+0 (zero) to open the Purchases panel, and if Pages is present, it will likely have some indicated means to obtain it. If so, you may receive one or more dialogs which you would not click Cancel. The last one should offer to install the last compatible version of Pages (v13.1) for Monterey.
