Hi there
Please try this
Check date and time and update macOS
Make sure that the date and time are set correctly on your Mac.
If you can connect to the internet from a different Wi-Fi network, connect to that network and then update macOS on your Mac.
Check VPN or other security software
If you installed VPN or other software that monitors or interacts with your network connections, that software could be affecting access to the internet. Learn about network issues related to VPN and other software.
Use the built-in diagnostic tools
Wi-Fi Recommendations. Click Wi-Fi in Control Center or the menu bar and check for a menu item named Wi-Fi Recommendations. If you see it, your Mac has detected an issue and has recommendations. Choose Wi-Fi Recommendations to learn more.*
Wireless Diagnostics. Press and hold the Option key on your keyboard while clicking Wi-Fi in Control Center or the menu bar, then choose Open Wireless Diagnostics from the menu. Learn more about using Wireless Diagnostics to analyze your wireless environment.
Update the Wi-Fi router
If you manage the network's Wi-Fi router, install the latest firmware updates for the router, as recommended by its manufacturer. It might also help to simply restart the router and use Apple's recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points.
Try a different network or contact your ISP
If you can access the internet when connected to a different network, or you're not sure, check with your internet provider or network administrator to make sure that your network is working properly and there isn't an internet service outage.]

In my company, a customer working from home experienced wifi password not working anymore after Sonoma update happened. The password is entered but then it returns begging for the password ....and this is a loop.
I did this to no avail:
-Forget Network
-Entered Terminal commands (info found on the Internet)
-Deleted wifi entries in the Library folder: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/
-Deleted the Keychain Access entry related to his home network
-Used a different account profile
I did not check the date with customer and hopes that that could be the culprit but I doubt it.
Thank you for your replies. What I regret is the lack of support from apple:
Last week end I called support they understood the problem and told me that I would receive the same day a call from their local support. Still waiting for the call after 4 days
Then today I went to the Apple Store and they asked me to contact online support. I explained I did it already but precisely that was my problem because no-one called me back. Her answer was : "please contact support" I explained her another time because my English is bad and she replied ....."please contact online support". I got a little bit angry but not disresperctful and explaining again the problem adding that as president of my company I am thinking of buying equipment for my 23 employees that all need to be equipped with Macbook pros, iPad M4 pros, Latest iPhones, etc..
Angel came down from the skies and she proposed me to inspect my Mac at the store with highly qualified specialists tomorrow around noon.
I will be always astonished with the human behaviors
I will post the solution when I get it friends hoping that my English is understandable
I investigated further.
I am connecting iiyama X3291HS-B1.
This display has D-SUB 15pin VGA, HDMI and DVI-D.
When I connect with HDMI to VGA adapter to monitor D-Sub 15pin port, 5G wifi delay occur.
Adapter is like this.
When I connect with USB-C to HDMI and HDMI to VGA adapter to monitor D-Sub 15pin port, also delay occur.
This monitor has HDMI port also.
When I connect mac book pro HDMI to monitor HDMI port, no 5G wifi delay occur.
At my mac book pro, 100% reproduce wifi connection error or ping reply delay (15msc to 500msc).
Below 3 are mandatory.
Sonoma 14.5
Connecting HDMI or USB3.0 display
Connect 5Ghz wifi network
Oddly enough, this wifi problem does not occur at 2.4Ghz or without display connection.
Customer indicated that after turning off and on router, wifi worked again. Comcast router.
