Error: Cannot load driver. This is the message I get when I try to scan a document on my Canon Image Formula R40

It is all resolved now. I had unplugged the scanner and forgot that I did that. I plugged the scanner back in and all is well

on VueScan . It's an excellent app for all scanners and have used it with old Canon scanners effectively. It has more capability than the software that came with my scanners, both Canon and Epson.
