192.168.1.149, Accessing a server on my local network

Since updating to Sonoma, (Version 17.5 (19618.2.12.11.6) with Intel iMac 2019 27 inch) the latest, I am having difficulty accessing my local storage. when I input the address, I get the blue line for about 20% then it hangs (away for a cut of tea and no change, 20 minutes) with Firefox it creates to a web search and with chrome the useless information:

Apple support considers it to be a ISP issue. Needless to say ISP considers it to be a change in op system issue.
