My iPhone 13 screen is going dark when I have the phone plugged into CarPlay and am using Google Maps. This just started happening about a week or two ago. I can fix it by setting auto lock to never, but prefer not to do that because then I forget to change it back. I want the screen to stay lit like it used to so I can read the upcoming directions.

Yep. Same. Started around the time 17.4 rolled out. Any plan to fix this I wonder? It was a great feature and nice to have the turn by turn along side the CarPlay screen.
I have exactly the same issue with apple maps and google maps on iPhone 15 pro max after iOS 17.5.1 update. However, Waza is not affected. Hope you can fix this issue on iOS 17.5.2 update.
