I am trying to use Apple Pay on the current version of Safari, on a MacBook Pro 2020. When the image pops up to pay, the Touch ID never appears. I can't complete the transactions. I can on m phone no problem.
Any ideas?

Please follow this path,
iPhone > Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay > scroll down to Allow Payments on Mac > what position is the switch in, off or on (green).
Does your Mac have an Apple Keyboard with Touch ID?
...and is "Use Touch ID For Apple Pay" enable in settings?
Try switching it off and back on. Is you authentication going to your iPhone when you attempt a purchase on your Mac?
What Mac OS version are you using?
Have you contacted Apple Support on this issue?
Complete it on your iPhone and wait for an update. Is your goal to pay someone or troubleshoot their website?😀😀
It is on EVERY website I try to pay using ApplePay on the laptop, so it can't be their issue.
I think that is your next step. You could try posting in the one of the Mac communities in the forum here. There could be a security setting or something going on not be discussed here.
Yes Touch ID works for everything else. Just not for ApplePay
