I recently purchased a second hand 13” MacBook Pro 2020 and it did not include an Apple USB-C cable and charging brick.
The highest wattage charger I have on hand is an Anker 20w fast-charger meant for charging an iPhone Pro.
Would the Anker 20w, USB-C to USB-C cable suffice to charge up, and will it be safe for the MacBook Pro using it?

you need a power adapter with 60 to 80 Watts capability for that MacBook Pro.
So NO that 20 Watts power adapter will not do in the long run. It also may not have the higher Voltage required to charge at any reasonable speed. It is NOT an acceptable work-around.

You can use but 20w is hardly a trickle charge for the Mac...
