IPad: link from mail leads to “Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found.”

The same link works on my iPhone but not on my iPad Pro. Both have been updated a few times but problem persists. I have also done a network reset which did not help. I’m trying to read articles from legit sites and get “safari can’t open page because server can’t be found. “. Anyone found a solution yet? I’ve seen others with same question but no resolution.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.4

Are you using Apple's Private Relay service, or a VPN connection? If so, as a diagnostic exercise, try disabling them.

Private Relay:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > [iCloud+] Private Relay > Private Relay - set to OFF

Check for and remove any ad blockers and add-on security apps and any parental controls or nanny filters or similar apps.

Also check for a difference in the DNS server settings.

Settings > Wi-Fi > tap the information ℹ️ button > check DNS setting (usually set to configure DNS automatically)

Restart the Wi-Fi router too, and check for firmware updates for that.
