How to fix my old iPod Touch not being recognised in iTunes on my new PC?

on new pc in itunes my device buttom does not show when connected by cord to old itouch.

IPod Touch not Recognized in iTunes I have an updated PC, iTunes ver 12.13.1.3 and an iPod Touch ver 12.5.7. My PC recognizes my iPod Touch but when I run iTunes, my iPod Touch does not show - anywhere in iTunes. No devices, no little icon at the top, like it use to. I can't Sync or do anything. I know that Apple is no longer supporting iPods. I use to be able to see my device in iTunes but not with this latest version. Do I need to go back to an older version of iTunes? If so how do I do that? Or is there another remedy to have iTunes recognize my iPod Touch? Help, please.

Trying to restore ipod touch 3rd Gen on Mac Hi all, I have rediscovered my old ipod touch (3rd Gen). I was wondering if I could crank it up and potentially put it to use. It is charged and is displaying the attach to iTunes picture. I have attached it to my iMac (running Sequoia 15) and it appears in Finder. It is giving a message: As you can see, my only option is to Restore iPod. When I choose Restore iPod I then get this message: When I click to Restore and Update it disappears from the Finder and doesn't reappear. The screen on the iPod remains unchanged (still prompting to connect to iTunes). So it appears that nothing has happened. Anyone had similar issues and fixed it? All help appreciated. Chief

iPod does not come up in iTunes when plugged in Have a new Windows 11 computer using iTunes 12.13.13. My iPod does not come up in iTunes on this computer. it works fine on my previous computer which I still have. Under Device Manager I do see the Apple Driver load when when I connect the iPod. What else can I look at or do? This has been an extremely frustrating process to get my iTunes to work as it did on the previous computer.

uninstall itunes

delete these folders:

%userprofile%\Apple

%appdata%\Apple Computer

%localappdata%\Apple

%localappdata%\Apple Computer

%localappdata%\Apple Inc

%commonprogramfiles%\Apple

reboot

re-install itunes
