Add MP3s to Apple Music WITHOUT a computer
It is 2024. I want to play my mp3s on my iPhone. The phone costs over $1000 and I can’t play mp3s on its default music app? Is someone at Apple going to correct this mistake?

This is a user-to-user forum. You are not speaking to Apple here, but to other customers.
You can play MP3 and AAC files on the default Music app, but unless you are buying them from the iTunes Store, or someone else provides a similar app for their store (I don't know what Amazon does with respect to its MP3 Store), you will have to load them onto the iPhone with the help of a computer.
The "use a computer to load purchased music onto your iPhone" model goes back to the days of the very first iPod, where the iPod could only synchronize with one Mac at a time, and received a copy of some or all of the music from the host Mac's iTunes Library.
And if you're getting MP3 from the music on your own CDs, you're going to need a computer with an optical drive to import the music / prepare the MP3 files. Might as well use it to load those files into the iPhone, too.
