Save as.... file save window opens....I name the file, when navigating my file structure to locate the folder to save the file in. Sometimes when clicking to select a folder...the file name changes from the desired file name to the folder name, forcing me to then retype the filename. very annoying.

ok - this is an order of the saving bug. This occurs all the time when....Save As Copy....Change file name...change file type....then try to select folder. (Specifically selecting file type menu before selecting folder)
It doesn't happen if I select the folder first...then change the file type to PDF before save.
Might be an Adobe bug as I can't replicate in Office.

What you are describing would be expected when clicking on a file, but not on a folder.
Are you sure you did not click on a file accidentally?
I can’t see your video because it is set as private; but your last description is quite detailed and clear. I don’t have any Adobe applications, and I can’t reproduce the issue. Maybe, as you say, it is a bug in the Adobe applications. Can you try to replicate it in other applications, both from Adobe and others (say Photoshop and Preview)?
Yes. Typically on resave I navigate to the file and then click the filename to insure it saves over the file. You bring up a good point though. In these cases I am not resaving because once the bug occurs I have to usually close the save window because I have forgotten what I had named the file as it might have been the name of a layer folder or the pad or ai file itself. I need to do a screen record so it is clear. It happens a handful of times per day
