These two devises use to connect. Now they do not. No cut n paste and no airdrop, I may have messed with settings, I dont know what else it could be but now i don't know how to remedy. I ve tried forgetting the devises and they will connect and then immediately disconnects.

I assume by "connect" you mean pair over bluetooth. Macs will not pair over bluetooth with iPhones, never have, nor is it necessary for anything that uses bluetooth between them.
For AirDrop, what happens when you try to airdrop anything between them?
Do they not show up in each other's AirDrop screen?
Did you recently change your Apple ID in either of the devices?
