Copy multiple rows into another Numbers spreadsheet

Numbers spreadsheet issue: I only seem to be able to paste one row at a time into another spreadsheet formatted identically. I've selected multiple rows, copy, but only the first row pastes into another spreadsheet. I've tried to drag the rows, but nothing seems to work.

When pasting into the destination table, select a cell as the starting point, not the row number.

If you are trying to duplicate a single row or a contiguous range of rows, you can drag/drop from one document to another. Drag/drop will create new rows in the destination table (versus copy/paste that overwrites cells/rows).

  1. Have both tables in view
  2. Select the range of rows to be "copied" (Click on the first row number to be selected, shift click on the other)
  3. Click and hold on one of the row numbers until the rows lift from the table
  4. Drag to the other table. The green line shows where they will go.
  5. Drop when they are where you want them.
