Need an alternate way to type the numeral 8 on the login screen!

So my MacBook Air has a water-damaged keyboard that cannot type several characters including the numeral 8. Unfortunately the numeral 8 is needed for my password. And even more unfortunately I've run into the issue in which I have to log in before I can use "accessories," including any keyboard that could actually type the numeral 8. 🙄

So, is there any alternative means of typing this numeral on the login screen? Do any of the "Other input sources" keyboards have a different mapping of numerals? Help!

So I figured out a solution. On the login screen, hit the power button three times very quickly. This brings up accessibility options. Choose the option for an accessibility keyboard, and it brings up a keyboard on the screen! I was able to click the 8 and complete my password.
