I might have accidentally set on the pointer control wrongly, now I am unable to log into my MacBook because some keyboard keys are not function as they should be, eg the no 8 or
7 or the letter I, they become curser up & down, instead of the no or letter they should be, so I can’t type my password, can’t go into the system to change, please help.
Is there a way I can change the keyboard without needing to go into the system ?

No, you can try this with an external keyboard. Make sure to connect that wired, if you only have a keyboard with USB a use an USB A to USBC adapter
Hiya, just want to update the status. I went to the Apple Shop to solve the keyboard issues
cause I didn't have any external keyboard at home. In the shop, they do have an external keyboard but the keyboards still didn't work even with the plug in, wired and everything. In the end, we have to clean up everything, restarted & reinstalled the OS system. It's lucky that I've just got the Macbook for 2 days and there's not much in it anyway. Even now, I still don't know what have I done wrong to make the keyboard changed the way.

Thank you Tom Gewecke, it's very helpful. Honestly after the mouse key incident, I was a bit nervous in playing with the settings, now that I know, I am more confident in setting up the Macbook to what I want.
