Apple Monthly Payments

What would happen if I did the 12 monthly payments for a iPad with my credit card but then my card expires half way through? Will I be able to have time to change it?

iPad mini, iOS 12

Apple interest-free Monthly Installments is an option only available with the Apple Card. The entire purchase is charged to your account when the iPad ships to you but your payments are monthly. It doesn't matter what the expiration date is on your card.

Normally your Apple Card will automatically renew and you don't need to do anything when it does. If there is a problem with your account and it isn't renewed for some reason, you wouldn't be able to make any new purchases but you will continue to be billed for outstanding charges including Monthly Installments.
