Iphone 12 battery health drain issue

I bought a used iphone 12 on march 13 2024 the day im writing this is june 9 2024 when i bought the phone it was 93% battery health now after only 3 months its 88% is it normal to go down 5% after only 3 months?

Normal for the battery to decline about 1% on average per month, but that is not an absolute. The battery might go 2-3 months and not decline at all, then decline 3-5% the next month.


Updates really eat up the battery, and you have likely updated the phone a few times since you got it. You may also have an app or two that are eating up power. Take a look to see which are the power hogs.


In addition, a weak cellular signal will draw twice or more as much power than a strong signal.


Replace the battery when it's down to 80%. That will be in another year or so.
