Viewing textx older than three years old
How can you get to texts received over three years ago, without scrolling through the entire thread?

Unfortunately, there is no other way to get to the texts sent in the distant past without scrolling through. What you can do is open the Messages app and then conduct a SEARCH for a subject matter that you know occurred during the communication in the past. It will still be a chore getting to the right timeline in the Messages app.
