I want to buy a Magic Keyboard for my new iPad Air 2024. When I went to the shop, the seller told me that the Magic Keyboard for the new iPad Air is the same as the one for the 4th and 5th generation iPad Air. However, when I checked the compatibility information on the box, the iPad Air 2024 was not listed among the supported devices.

The current Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air 11" supports both the new 2024 iPad Pro M2 and fourth and fifth generation iPad Air - along with earlier models of iPad Pro 11". This list is taken directly from the associated Apple product page:

It follows that older stock of this keyboard, that pre-dates release of the new 2024 iPad Air M2, will not list the new model on the box - as the product packaging will have been printed some time ago.
If you are in any way uncertain as to compatibility with your new iPad, unless the store will allow you to test or return the item, you would always be best advised to delay your purchase until you are able to source an item that does list compatibility for your iPad on the box.
