iPhone 14 Plus
I really don’t see why my iPhone 14 Pro Max with 1 TB storage can’t run at least some parts of Apple intelligence like:
1- Mail auto categorization
2- The typing feature that helps rewrite paragraphs ( chat gpt app does it already on the 14 pro max )
3- Messages auto categorization
4- new Siri UI
5- smarter Siri (context understanding)
the rest I get it, wanna make it exclusive to the newer phones and all.
but this is unfair. And I’m actually thinking seriously to move away from Apple due to those below the belt moves.
i paid 750 omani rials for my phone in 2022,
you telling me i gotta pay this again now? Come on!
the phone has most of what iPhone 15 pro max has minus just 3 features.
i hope Apple will do something to bridge this disconnect with 14 pro and pro max users and older.
Apple does not manufacture flagship devices because it exclusively sells the iPhone.
The iPhone lineup includes various models, for example: The iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max. Despite the different models, they are essentially the same device, with the exception of varying hardware specifications.
Logically, it is reasonable for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max to support Apple Intelligence due to the hardware upgrade they have over the iPhone 15.
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with the A17 chip, which features six cores, compared to the A16 chip with five cores found in the iPhone 15.
This additional core significantly impacts the performance of the device, particularly when running demanding applications such as artificial intelligence.

What do you mean by "exclusively"? If you mean only Apple sells iPhones, well, that's certainly not true. There are lots of Authorized Apple Resellers, notably carriers. Or do you mean Apple only sells iPhones? Also, obviously not true.

Like, I understand apple intelligence can not be on any iPhone, but why can’t just the new Siri ui be on any? And if ChatGPT works on iPhone 11, and Siri ChatGPT integration doesn’t, then what did apple really do?

Nice to get 2 answers to the same question, and they agree😏
We frequently get mistaken for one another.
LOL! Indeed we do and as I get older, gravity is working its magic on things sagging!! And not things you'd like to sag! 😂
Currently AI is supported on the iOS 15 and 16 series. I’m sure it will be available on subsequent models, and I’m sure they won’t drop support for the 15 and 16 for many years. Apple generally provides full software updates for 5-7 years. For example, iPhone XR (2018), XS, SE 2nd or 3rd edition, iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and16 can update to iOS 18.x. My guess is that 18.x will be the end of the line for XR, XS, SE 2nd edition. All of the newer phones also support 5G networks.

I assume that you meant the iPhone –––– series. All of the iPhone-16-series models are scheduled to get it, but the only iPhone-15-series models on the list to get it are the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.
I apologize but I'm not being rude. I didn't realize we couldn't talk about "that' as I stated, I'm new here. I assumed since there were articles on apple support about what I talked about that it was public knowledge. I also sell apple products for a living and have seen what I spoke about. So, if I was wrong to post I apologize.

That is not correct. iPhone 14 Pro models will be be able to run Apple Intelligence. Per Apple directly, Apple Intelligence will become available on iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 models.
With the typo fixed: "iPhone 14 Pro models will not be able to run Apple Intelligence."
Correction, The Iphone 15 Pro And Pro Max have been discontinued. Not the 15 base model and 15 Plus.
Sorry , which board I can ask ?
Because this only compatibility for m1 chips
Do you have any idea if only the new Siri UI will be on iPhone 11?
Siri’s new UI is part of Apple intelligence, so probably no.
iOS 18’s categorization features are not part of Apple intelligence.
You’re confusing processor numbers with device Models. The iPhone 15 Pro uses A18 SOC (processors). It actually has the latest SOC for iPhone, not the oldest.
