Can’t add cards to Apple Pay

Recently had to cancel a bank card and get a replacement. Have got a new 15 plus since my last card. Tried adding the new card I received however can’t add it or any other card, just says card not added please contact issuer, tried so many times and doing it through the app or through settings but neither work. Know it’s not an issue with the card as my partner can add it to her phone no problem!

Approvals for Apple Pay are device and Apple ID/iCloud account specific. If your partner has a different Apple ID, and obviously a different device it can be added.


Why was the other card canceled, fraud? How new is your Apple ID?


Please do not attempt to add any more cards until this is resolved. Having a card rejected 5 or more declines in 24 hours is an automatic decline. It’s an indication of fraud.
