Macbook M3 Pro multiple karnel panics a day

Hey Community

I received my MacBook on March 25 2024

M3 Pro 18GB RAM 512 SSD - Running Sonoma 14.5

Yesterday, it started randomly restarting, sometimes it logs as a karnel panic other times windowserver found a error.

Already scheduled a visit to my AASP, but i am trying to understand why this is happening and what could be wrong, and what should I do to prevent this from happening cause this is my work laptop, and it restarting while I am on meetings has been pretty frustrating, it also restarted twice as I was writing this message.

Thanks in advance

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.5

Be sure you have run the diagnostic at least once. It finds GROSS issues, but "No faults detected" is NOT the same as "All is Well"

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac - Apple Support

Take look at your other reports. What you are trying to determine is whether there is a TREND.

Case A) There is a trend: This same panic occurs in each case, with the same extensions present, in the same BSD process. A trend can indicate corrupted software or a Hardware problem that can be tracked down and solved.

Case B) There is a decided NON-Trend. The panics occur "all over the Map" for different panic reasons and in different BSD processes, with different extensions present.

A Non-Trend suggests you may have RAM memory problems. MacOS slightly randomizes the load point of key routines on each startup, as a hedge against fixed-address attacks. This causes a marginal memory cell to move into different routines each time your Mac starts up. This causes random and bizarre non-correlation in your panic reports from one run to the next.

If the above is just "word-salad" to you, just ask and Readers can explain a bit more.

Whenever you submit your Mac for service, your FILES are NOT guaranteed to be returned to you.

You MUST have a Trusted Backup, or your files will likely be LOST.

if you have a recent, disk based backup, your are doing this right.

If not, find an external drive at least as large as your boot drive (preferably 2.5 times larger or more) and start a Time Machine backup now.

MUCH more advice is available -- readers are EAGER to provide advice on this issue.

Your non-Trend is obvious, suggesting the possibility of a RAM memory problem. However,

PPF001

PPF003

PPF004

There may be an issue with the fan.

Contact Apple or take your computer to an AASP or Apple Store to learn which service and support options are available.

... that could mean your Mac is getting too hot inside, which can cause transient data errors without having permanent memory errors.

Hey!

I have been keeping track of the log error since yesterday, I will post them bellow just to if we can find more clues, NGL I am not a tech/hardware expert, but i can figure out bits and pieces.

Apple Diagnostics pointed out a PPF001 error, but i will try to run it again just to see if it points out another error

Thanks for the super quick response <3
