Less than a year on 1 year Warranty
I purchased Ipod pro 2nd gen on 6/12/24 new from Target. The warranty is showing it expires on 5/28/25. Why less than a year on the 1 year warranty?
iPhone 6, iOS 12

I believe that Tesserax is largely correct. I've mostly heard of this happening when you buy from other than an authorized reseller but it does seem to happen occasionally even with the authorized ones. You may want to try calling Apple and seeing if they can reset the date.
It has been my understanding, when purchasing an Apple device from an Apple Authorized Reseller, that the start date of the one-year warranty is when Apple "sells" it to reseller, not when you actually buy it. This may account for the discrepancy your are noting. Then again, I may be wrong and I'm sure someone that knows for sure will chime in.
Hey!
Apple warrants the Apple-branded iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple TV or HomePod hardware product and the Apple-branded accessories contained in the original packaging against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Apple's published guidelines for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser.
