iPad gets messages but my iPhone doesnt

So I have an iPad and iPhone, but some of my messages goes to my iPad and not my iPhone. Is there a way to correct this?

In Settings>Messages look what you have checked off in Send & Receive on both the iPhone and iPad and make sure they match.
