text messages go to ipad but not iphone 8 plus
I recently added an ipad. Now my text messages go to my ipad and not to my iphone 8 plus. How can I fix this?

Hi Cardsgirle1,
First, are the messages not coming at all, or you are not receiving notifications for new messages? If you're not receiving messages at all on your iPhone, you can try the suggestions here:
If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Additionally, if you would not like the messages sent to your iPad at all, you can turn off SMS/MMS text message forwarding for your devices:
Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad - Apple Support
Finally, if this is affecting SMS/MMS text messages (which are green bubbles), and not affecting iMessages (which are blue bubbles), you will want to contact your wireless carrier to assist with this issue.
