if i had the black screen of death at one point do i eventually need to replace my phone

One morning a couple days ago, I woke up and went to check the time on my phone but the screen was black even though it was on the charger, I went to push the power button and it was still vibrating and stuff as if everything else was working. So I used my iPad to check why my screen was black, then discovering it was the black screen of death. So I did a trick that one of the articles said where you push the volume buttons one at a time but very quickly then hold the power button until you see a Apple logo, and it reset then was fine and has been fine since. So do I have to eventually replace my phone or do I have nothing to worry about

now?

Gosh, just because your car won't start a few times does not mean that you have to buy a new car. It might be something as simple as replacing the battery.

You won't have to get a new phone if your current phone is repaired.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple service shop to let them run some checks and tests.

You can find a list of authorized service shops in your area using this link:

If you have already made up your mind that you really want a new phone, that is your decision.

You won't know how expensive it will be for repairs until you take the phone to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service shop, so they can find out what is wrong and give you an estimate.....before.....you OK repairs.

If it is something as simple as a new battery....a possibility.....the cost will be under $100.
