AppleCare + coverage and early Apple upgrade program payoff

What happens to the AppleCare+ coverage part of the Apple upgrade program if you decide to pay off the phone early? I.e You sign up for the Appleupgrade program and decide you don’t want the loan for the phone on your credit report anymore or you just want to be able to upgrade early or you just want the phone to be yours… so you pay off the phone loan part of the appleupgrade program early. Does this end AppleCare + coverage? Or does coverage continue for the normal 24 months of the Appleupgrade program and you pay reduced monthly payment for AppleCare+ portion of the upgrade program monthly payment? Or is everything, including AppleCare + coverage cancelled? If AppleCare+ ends, will you have option to buy new AppleCare+ plan since you never had a separate AppleCare+ plan (separate from the Appleupgrade program) to begin with and your phone is beyond the 60 day “purchase date” timeframe to buy AppleCare+. I understand how everything works if you join appleupgrade program and then upgrade phone or let program continue on until 24 month completion date. But if program ends early because you pay off phone early? Trying to decide if Appleupgrade program is a good idea if I plan to pay off phone early and want to keep AppleCare+ coverage going for 2 years or more.
